Recently, Wellcee partnered with Mengshougang to host an offline pet adoption event under the theme “A Homefinding Initiative | Let Every Wait Be Answered.” The event marked the third phase of Wellcee’s Homefinding Initiative, bringing its commitment to animal welfare from online storytelling into a real-world setting.

 

 

 

As a pet-friendly, commission-free rental platform, Wellcee has long paid close attention to the realities of people and pets living together. It has also continued to support animal welfare through more tangible and practical action. This adoption event represented a meaningful extension of the Homefinding Initiative from online engagement to offline participation, giving Wellcee’s understanding of “home” a more concrete expression.

 

More than 150 cats and dogs took part in the event, meeting visitors and connecting with potential adopters. Five animals were confirmed for adoption on site. At the same time, many more animals gained the opportunity to be seen, understood, and considered. A number of visitors also established direct contact with rescuers, opening the door to further adoption discussions after the event.

 

For Wellcee, the greater significance of the event was to make visibility truly possible. A single encounter may not immediately lead to adoption, but it can allow more animals waiting for a home to be recognised and understood. It can also turn what once felt like a distant choice into something people can approach and seriously consider.

 

As part of the collaboration, Wellcee also supported a more complete and responsible adoption process, with the hope that every encounter would be treated with care and every decision about offering a home would carry genuine commitment.

 

 

 

Wellcee believes that being pet-friendly should not remain an abstract concept. It should become a more tangible way of creating connection. Whether by encouraging adoption over purchase or supporting more responsible and long-term approaches to pet care, Wellcee hopes to give the idea of “home” a broader and more meaningful expression.

 

Animal welfare is not a one-off initiative for Wellcee. Since making a donation to City Cat Island in 2025, the platform has continued to participate through content, community collaboration, and other forms of support. As the Homefinding Initiative continues to develop, Wellcee is also expanding the meaning of home beyond living spaces and into companionship, care, and responsibility.
