Like most mega cities, the traffic in the main urban area can be quite congested during peak hours. We do not recommend you renting here if you need to drive during the morning and evening rush hours. Residential buildings in the city center are mainly old communities, and there are higher-quality new communities along the river with higher renting price. The rent for a single room in the old community is around 2000 rmb per month, while the price of higher-end apartments is generally be above 4000 rmb.
Binjiang is already host to the offices for broad range of leading internet, finance and tech firms, including Alibaba, NetEase, H3C Technologies etc. It is quite easy to meet young professionals and start a new social circle for those who just relocated here.
